My favourite book

Hello mates! today I'm going to talk about my favourite book or the books I like most.

I'm going to start this blog entire with the first book I readed, I don't really remember who was but I think that the first ones was the wizard of Oz. I readed when I was in second grade at the primmary school.

My favourite author is Julio Cortazar, I have read many books from him, like Historia de Cronopios y de famas, Rayuela, Final del Juego, etc. I think he is very nice with the structure of the world who give us and a very nice storyteller.

I preffer read books with literature, with fantastic worlds like Game of Thrones and with good stories, that stories that you HAVE to read some time in your life. In the case of Game of Thrones I have the graphic novel and is really awesome, my girlfriend gave me this treasure in my last birthday.

I don't really have a favourite book, but I really like a book call Niebla, from Miguel de Unamuno, I think that book change my life, the story is just awesome. The same thing I think about Pedro Páramo from Juan Rulfo. 100 años de soledad is another book that I really like, García Márquez was a very great author and I'm still sorry his death.

At this day I'm not reading something of literature, because we comeback from the strike and we have not any possibility to read something out of the career text.

My favourite fast food

Hello dudes, today I'm going to talk about my favourite fast food. The true about this is that in my past life I was a mexican or that is what I think, because my favourite is the food from that country (or as we know the mexican food here in Chile). 

When I was a kid I always wanted mexican food to my birthday, I just love it to eat some burritos or quesadillas, with ingredients like chili peppers, guacamole, sour cream, etc. I like so much fast food, but is a guilty pleassure to me, because the fast food are not very healthy, because this has so much qualities of sodium and the preparation are not very clean. The best place to eat fast food can be "Taco Bell" or "Tommy Beans" here in Santiago. The worst... mmm, I think is Doggis, I always have really bad experiences when I go to Doggis, like the frozen fries and the ugly drink. I go to eat some fast food one day a week or two, because I have not everyday lunches in the university.

A person that I admire.

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about a person that I admire. This person is Niccolò Machiavelli, consider the founder of modern political science. He was born in May 3th of 1469 in Florence at the Republic of France, and his dead was at June 21th of 1527. 

He wrote the book call "The Prince", at the year 1513. This was a manual that have many terms based on facts, and for this reason many people call him the founder of de modern political science. In the book, Machiavelli suggest to the House of the Medici how to recover the power over the citizens in the city of Florence.

I like it because in a assignature of History of Political Thought, last year, I read  abour him. Many people, who doesn't know well about him in my opinion, have a bad perception of Machiavelli, because the term Machiavellianism have a bad and negative connotation. But the truth is other I think, because Machiavelli do the work of "The Prince" because he was scared to be sentenced to death. The book is a personal critique to how a prince got strong over the people and I'm really sure that his thought was totally different.

My favourite movie

I'm going to talk about my favourite movie, and this is... "The Shawshank Redemption".

This is my favourite movie (but I really like others like "Fight Club", "Pulp Fiction", "12 Angry Men" or "Schindler's List"). The really reason of what I like this movie is because I saw it when I was a child. Some years later I saw it again and then I really notice that it was a great movie. The performance of Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins is epic. Every scene have a really true meaning and in the and everything have a conection. I have many hopes from the beginning of the movie and I feel every time I see it that "something may change", but no, everything end at the same way.

I'm a lover of many films, so I don't have a kind of film. But, I have to say that I love the suspense. I have a guilty pleassure, because I like a romantic comedy called "Love Actually". 

The most recient movie I saw was Mad Max, and it was just AWESOME. It's a movie that I'll never forget since the day I saw it, I think it's just perfect in many ways. I want to show it to my future childs this movie and have a good afternoon talking about the movie.

Back in the theme of my favourite movie, I have to say that is very difficult say that I like "one" movie in my life, so my "x-factor" to tell that The Shawshank Redemption is my favourite movie is because I saw it with my girlfriend the day we have our very first kiss. The feel of that day is something that I'll never forget in my life and that give a special affection to the movie.

I investigated about this movie, and I discovered that it was the competition of "Forrest Gump", a movie who don't like me so much, because it's so "I love U.S.A.", I just hate that. And in the Academy Award the most of the Oscars went to Forrest Gump. But, across the history of the films, I discovered that The Shawshank Redemption was better to the people. I'm a big fan of a page called "IMDb" (Index Movie Database), and in the ranking of the top 250 movies, The Shawshank Redemption have the first place.

I'm a little boring sometimes when I talk about something I really like, so this is the end of my post.

A photography that I love

To celebrate my 5th post in this blog, I going to talk about one of my favourites photography:

Isn't pretty? such a lovely animals! well, they are my pets!

Now, about the photography, in the first place I have to say that I took both in the same day, and then I make a collage of my pets. This was taken about one year ago in one of my visits to Rancagua, in the middle of the class semester. 

I like this photographys for many reasons. One of them is because I was very alone in the times that this animals came to my life and my house. Another reason (maybe the most obviously), is because I think they are very pretty, they have no a kind, I have it from the streets, but they are the most beautiful animals I ever saw in my life.

In the left of my mini-collage is my cat, with a very black color and yellow eyes. The name? "Corchete", this is because he got a very sharpened claws, and when he was a baby he liked to climb to every leg he saw.

In the right, I have my good friend Rocko, he's a no-race dog with a very small size. He is very nice as a friend, he kiss me every time and barks strongly when I'm close to the house (I think that he maybe is happy when I came to visit).

My favourite music.

I don't really know when I can beginning to tallk about my favourite music, but here we are...

I'll start this with the music I like... the truth about this is that I like so much kind of music... Like pop in some ways, the alternative music, the rock and even classic music. My really first music I listen it when I was a kid, my father much of the times put some compact cassettes with the Beatles music. He also listen ABBA and some other bands too like Eagles, Electric Light Orchestra, The Beach Boys, The Marmalade and The Mamas & the Papas. The band that really mark my life was totally The Beatles, they are just awesome. In my adolescence I started to listen Red Hot Chili Peppers and when I start to play guitar my first song learned was "Californication", then my second song was from the Stone Temple Pilots, called "Creep". When I was in the primmary school I listen every day music like Green Day, Queen, MxPx, Radiohead, Pulp, Gorillaz, Blur (and their rivals Oasis), The Smiths... It was a really challenge to me learn about new music every day!!!

To this day I open more my musical likes, listening bands like Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Pedropiedra, Mew (a really great band from Denmark), Sigur Rós, Fever Ray, Bruno Mars, Jack Johnson, etc (maybe I forget many bands, I try so hard to say it all, but there is so much musicians and bands in this world that is just very difficult to say it all).

I like the musicians with a very nice talent, for that reason I listen sometimes things like Mozart and Bach (great one). I like so much a band called Buena Vista Social Club too, I think that their music are very talent and when I listen a song from them I put my atention in any detail of their music. About The Beatles musicians I really have no word to describe it. Absolutely any one of them got a very big talent and in a very single way. Paul, Jhon, George... and Ringo, all of them are very good musicians.

In High School I started to save money to go for concerts, and my first one was Green Day in the La Florida Stadium. My second one was Faith No More, and after this I saw artist like: Paul McCartney, Foster the People, Foo Fighters, Crystal Castles, Band of Horses, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chancho en Piedra, Los Tres, Primus, Blur, Beck, Keane, Capital Cities, etc. In the Paul McCartney concert I was just very stunned, I could not contain my desire to mourn.

I hope you like it my post, maybe I'm a little extensive to talk, I really sorry for that.

My favourite piece of technology.

I going to talk about one of my favourite piece of technology (or one of the favourites), but is not very usefull and I don't have one (boo!). This creation was made by the electrical engineering and mechanical engineering Nikola Tesla. This creation is the Tesla Coil. This one, is some electrical resonant transformer circuit, used to produce high-voltage.

Unfortunately I do not have a Tesla Coil, but I promise myself to got one at my very first salary, when someday probably I'll work in a public service as a public administrator.

Some people use it to play some musical notes and make songs, is amazing because when you play a note here, automatically some ray with a (like in the photo) purple light came out.

I have the very good lucky of use one of a friend and it was very creepy at the first, but after it's get fun. I'll never forget that day. I like so much this kind of technology, because I think it's a very good innovation and I don't like so much technology, because I'm not the kind of people that loves so much cellphones, etc. I like it because it's very fun and you can play music with this.

You can think the life without this invention would be, probably, the same, but no. Thanks this invetion many technologies was mades, because was a breakthrough at this moment.
